Should you follow the trends or just go with your own choices?
Well, as my beloved great-aunt used to say to me when I was a youngster, “There are two types of people in this world kiddo…leaders and followers…so which one are you going to be?”
First, you must ask yourself, “What do I like? And what do I consider eye-food? And what will make me smile each time I look at the Office Furniture that I am going to invest a lot of money in?” Secondly, don’t forget to answer yourself.
A so-called “trendy” finish for over a decade has been “gray.” Why? On a personal note, I do not know, because I have always been partial to warm earth-tones, especially lighter, natural finishes. But every business wanted the gray and it was the most popular seller, and you know what, it still is. But now, the new so-called trend is the warm, light, natural earth-tone finish. (I knew eventually my brilliant taste would be recognized.) And on a second personal note (I’m in a sharing mood writing this) when I see the natural earth-tone Office Furniture installed, I love it! It is warm, earthy, vibrant, comforting, gives a rooted feeling, and it’s timeless in my humble opinion.
You may ask, can I furnish my office with warm earth-tone desks, and then have a different color Conference Room, maybe something in gray or white? Absolutely! I say, there are two types of people in this world: the person who does not care their socks don’t match, and the person who is falling to bits over their mismatched socks. On a third personal note (I can’t stop sharing it seems) I love mismatched socks—makes me feel like an eccentric billionaire whose only worry is who he’s going to leave all his money to.
When it comes to buying Office Furniture, follow your heart, not a trend, because you want to be happy at your office.
Here are examples of the natural Aspen Laminate Office Furniture. Photos taken at our customer's office after installation. Isn't that a bold carpeting! This is a perfect of example of pairing gray carpeting with a natural finish on the Office Furniture. The carpet has spunk and vigor, while the natural Aspen finish on the Desks are warm and soothing.
